What is Toughened Safety Glass?

Toughened glass, also known as tempered glass, is up to 5 times stronger than ordinary glass. It's manufactured by heating the glass to approximately 680°C and then rapidly cooling it, enhancing its strength and heat resistance.

👍

Common Applications

Toughened glass is versatile and ideal for various uses including:

  • Table-top protectors

  • Shelves

  • Splashbacks

  • Glass doors, shower doors, and office partitions

  • Balustrades

  • Single and double glazing

✅

Safety Features

Unlike standard glass, toughened glass is designed for safety. If it breaks, it shatters into small pellets instead of large sharp shards, significantly reducing the risk of injury.
